Internationals are back!

Internationals are back!

By Jack Stone

We asked Jack Stone, our Lettings Director, how the market is getting back to normal, and how he is dealing with. This is what he told The Draker Standard...

London has always been a hub of international activity with corporate rentals being one of the best parts of my job. An exciting way to meet and understand a diverse range of professional people from equally diverse cultures, I would meet professors from Panama, bankers from Brazil and consultants from China. As you might imagine, it was a lot to take in for a ex-professional footballer from Birmingham. Over the last two years however things could not have been more different with international relocation, the lifeblood of our industry, falling like a midfielder with a ruptured achilles tendon.

Non-European relocation only made up to 22% of our tenant base in 2020/21 opposed to 56% so far in 2022.

America is the front runner in corporate numbers coming over to London, followed closely by Asia, Australia and the Middle-East. No doubt things will change again in the spring and summer but it looks like a great year for corporate relocation in London.
