Welcome Home, finally!

By Tim Hassell

Welcome to our new quarterly newspaper, straight from the trenches and not from a high up, twice removed boardroom. From market analysis to service and technology updates we wanted to create something that helps you to understand more about our market and what we can do for you.

What a year it has been, with three major lockdowns under our ever-increasing belts. We have had tenants running away, some refusing to pay, some refusing to leave and just about everything in between. And still managed to keep a 97% rent fulfilment rate.

We became an NHS grocery delivery service with some extraordinary requests (all of which were fulfilled). We had Covid-19 ripping through our offices as we fought to keep the doors open, always on the lookout to see if we would be considered “essential” enough at a moment’s notice from Boris.

We are happy to say that overall, nearly all tenants have been amazing during this extraordinary time. But not as amazing as our incredible clients. I want to thank you all for being patient and kind and allowing us to continue working for you to lessen the impact of the Coronavirus on your rental portfolios.

But now back to our mission. To obsess over letting your property and supporting you in any way that we can.

I hope that you all enjoy The Draker Standard.
